Zechariah 12:2-3 I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.
Multiple nations, including Egypt, Rome, and Germany, have committed atrocities against Jewish people over the centuries. Attacks against the nation of Israel over the course of history seem unending. Antisemitism is once again on the rise.
Some nations still support Israel today, but do not expect this support to continue much longer. There will come a day “when all nations of the earth are gathered against her (Israel).” Israel will be forced to defend herself against the nations of the world, the Antichrist and even Satan himself. But the tiny nation of Israel will be “an immovable rock.” God will protect Israel so the nation and His people will always triumph.
