Follow: Increase in Number of Vegetarians

1 Timothy 4:3-5 (NIV) They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrate by the word of God and prayer.

I was amazed when I stumbled onto 1 Timothy 4:3-5 while studying the signs for Jesus’ return and the end of the age. I found this scripture not only peculiar, but intriguing since it is the only reference to eating habits as a sign of His return. Verse 4 confirms God has no issues with eating meat, yet many are converting, for a variety of reasons, to a vegan diet. There is nothing wrong with being a vegetarian. The verse only states to expect the vegetarian community to increase in size. Based on the articles below the world vegan population has grown dramatically since the turn of the century and it shows no signs of slowing down.
